Internal Links Are the Most Underused SEO Tactic in the Gulf. Here Is How to Use Them.
Internal links — links from one page on your site to another — tell Google which pages are most important, how your content is related, and where to send authority. They also guide visitors to your best content and keep them on your site longer. Most Gulf business websites either have no internal linking strategy or link only to their contact page and homepage — wasting one of the most powerful SEO tools available.
“Internal links are the roads that connect your website. Without them, Google cannot navigate your site and visitors cannot find your best content.”
The Internal Linking Strategy
Link from blog posts to service pages. Every article you publish should link to the relevant service. An article about “how much does IT support cost in Dubai” should link to your IT support service page. Link from service pages to related blog posts. Your service pages should link to articles that answer common questions about that service. Link to your most important pages from your homepage. The homepage passes the most authority. Link from it to the pages that matter most for your business. Use descriptive anchor text. “Learn about our IT support services” not “click here.” Do not over-link. Five internal links per article is a good target. More than that feels spammy. For content strategy, see our SEO articles. “Internal links are free. They are completely under your control. And they directly affect your rankings. Use them strategically on every page you publish.”
